Infertility

Making the decision to begin a family can present a myriad of emotions. You may feel exhilirated and excited, anxious and fearful, stressed and exhausted, or all of the above.

Based on my own personal struggles, professional experience and training as an anxiety therapist, my passion is helping support woman and their partners with issues of infertility, pregnancy and postpartum depression challenges.

If you are trying to decide whether or not it is time to add an addition to your family, I can help you or both you and your partner in navigating all of the appropriate considerations. I can also help you manage the feelings that may come up for you in the process.

Unfortunately, starting a family can be met by many obstacles, both physical and emotional. If you are struggling with fertility, whether it's due to a medical condition, stressful lives, or unknown circumstances, the effects can be emotionally devastating and draining on you and your partner.

Fertility Struggles

As a Denver Therapist focusing my work on women and their partners, I see a number of clients that are struggling with fertility for a number of reasons. Some of the common factors related to infertility include:

  • Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
  • Endometriosis
  • Ovulation issues/abnormalities
  • Female or Male Tube abnormalities
  • Sperm abnormalities
  • Undiagnosed allergies (sperm, foods, etc)
  • Malnutrition, current or prior Eating Disorder history
  • Excessive stress and/or anxiety

Often, many of these issues go hand-in-hand and, even more frequently, cause an incredible amount of stress and anxiety for the woman and couple struggling to get pregnant. As a fertility therapist, I can help you process and manage your feelings of overwhelm in relation to your struggles. I can also help connect you to other professionals that may be able to assist in your fertility, such as acupuncturists, nutritionists, naturpaths, and fertility specialists.
